¿Que quieres ver?

When we have nothing else in common, films are a common interest that my family can talk about. ¿Que quieres ver? takes place in the common space of a family room. Due to this divide between traditional family members and less-traditional younger members, the routine of watching films together is a time for us to bond, start a discussion, and/or erupt into an argument.  Similar to the process of creating a film, this work captures staged interactions between my mother and I. As we are placed in front of a television, stills from various films my mother and I constantly watch together are used to communicate the progression of a life through marriage, childbirth, and mother/daughter relationships.
